Acquarola, Frank R.* - Ridley Park  
1936-2015 Frank R. Acquarola, age 78 of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2015. Beloved husband for 55 years of Theresa ""Mary"" (nee McCullough). Loving father of Terri, Frank (Claire), Rick and Dana (Bob); devoted grandfather of Rick, Matt, Gracie, Nicholas and Megan. Brother of Dolly, Eleanor, Gloria, Victor and the late Loretta, Nicholas, Lena, Peter and Marie. Mr. Acquarola was born in Malvern and grew up in Darby, attending West Catholic High School Class of 1955. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1956 and worked for 42 years with United Airlines retiring in 2000. Frank was loved by many and known for his easygoing personality and ever present smile. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, dancing, bowling, taking trips to Hawaii and spending summers at Cape May Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. Followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 a.m at the church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park. Int. Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. Alden, Nancy M.* - Drexel Hill  
1943-2015 Nancy M. Alden, (nee McQuaid), 71, of Drexel Hill, on July 23, 2015. A graduate of Upper Darby H.S., and a member of St. Dorothy’s Church. Her survivors include her husband Lawrence “Larry” S. Alden; her children, Catherine (Dave) Dietsch, Ellen (George) Schumaker and “Vicky” (Mike) Hopkins; 10 Grand and 1 Great Grandchild; sisters, Emily “Lee” Kinner and Patricia O’Neill. Ammerman, Juanita K.* - Glen Mills  
1935-2015 Juanita K. Ammerman, age 79, passed away peacefully with courage and grace on July 23, 2015, after a short illness. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her constant love and support will be missed dearly. Born in Chester she was raised in Brookhaven and lived in Wallingford for more than 40 years. Most recently she lived in Glen Mills. She was a 1951 graduate of Nether Providence High School and a 1953 Graduate of Goldey-Beacom College. She was employed by Brandywine Raceway as an office manager and for the past 20 years was the administrative assistant to the President of White Horse Village before retiring in 2010. Juanita was an avid walker; she would walk 2 miles every day. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and playing golf, a game she started late in life. She was the past president of the Jayceettes, and also owned a racehorse named “Idle Love”. Juanita was a member of Gateway Community Church in Middletown. Juanita’s family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, the “Love of her Life” William Garr Ammerman. She was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Juanita M. (Norris) Ketrick and sister of the late Jack Ketrick (2013). SURVIVORS: Her loving children, Keith Ammerman (Chryiese), Jill Fox (Chris), and John Ammerman (Kim). Grandchildren David, Billy, Ryan, Justin, Riley, Kendall, and Brynn. Sister in law Joyce Ketrick, as well as several nieces and nephews. VISITATION: Tuesday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston. Funeral Service: Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Axsom, Shirley B.* - Claymont  
1927-2015 Shirley B. Axsom, age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2015. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Bertha (Smith) Seaman. Shirley was a graduate of the Prospect Park High School Class of 1945. A longtime member of the Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church, Shirley was a member of the Vestry for 4 years and was the Parish Secretary for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of the Naomi Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Shirley and her husband were founding members of the Ashbourne Swim Club. She was also a member of the Ashbourne Hills Civic Association, as well as a former Girl Scout Leader. Family, friends and the Church were the center of Shirley’s life. Shirley was a great cook and some of the favorite family memories were all the holiday dinners she hosted, as well as her Texas Fudge Cake. She will be truly missed for her loving, giving and thoughtful spirit and was well loved by all who met her. Aside from her family, Shirley and her husband were very active with the Masons and the Nur Shrine, who were like family to them as well. Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Raymond W. Axsom, and her sister, JoAnn Murphy. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Axsom Heal and Paula R. Widenor (Robert); her sons, David J. Axsom (Kathleen “Sam”) and John E. Axsom (Sara); her grandchildren, Kelly Axsom Schenck (Edward), Alexis Hashimoto (James), Michael Axsom, David Widenor, Debbie Widenor, Todd Heal (Rachel), Philip Heal (Nicole) and John Axsom, as well as 8 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM in the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10 AM at The Church of the Ascension, 3717 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o NUR Shriners, P.O.
