Albergo, Paul* - Garnet Valley  
1956 - 2015 Paul D. Albergo, age 58, a resident of Garnet Valley, PA, and formerly of Cambridge, MA, died at home surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Paul was employed with the Widener University Law School Campus, as a Maintenance/Groundkeeper. Paul’s passion was his garden, and he loved world history and crossword puzzles. He was an avid baseball fan, who especially enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies. Paul was known for his sense of humor, and he was devoted to his home and family. Paul was the son of the late Vincent and Frances Martin Albergo. Survivors: Daughter: Amanda Albergo (Her FiancĂ© Uri Schlafrig); Long Time Loving Companion: Doris Stoddart; Brothers: Vincent (Dorothy) Albergo and Michael (Janis) Albergo; Former Wife: Teresa Albergo-Dougherty; Nephews & Niece: Alexander, Christopher, Karen and Michael, Jr.; Also survived by Great Nephews and Great Nieces Memorial Service: Monday 3:00 PM, at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte.#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Township, Media, PA Visitation: Monday 1:30 PM, at the funeral home Interment: Private In Lieu of Flowers donations may be given in his name to the American Cancer Society Mosaic, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/pauldalbergo Condolences : www.msbfh.com

Allman, Dolores A.* - Chadds Ford  
1937-2015 Dolores A. Allman, 78, of Chadds Ford, PA, peacefully entered into eternal life on March 23, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Harold and Anna Cesarini, and widow of Earl L. Allman. She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. Dolores was an Executive Secretary at Piasecki Helicopter, then later at Gulf & Western. She was a certified master gardener, avid swimmer, and world traveler. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Dolores is survived by her daughter Joyce Bixby (James) of Boothwyn, PA, Grandaughter’s Stephanie Gaffney (Greg) of Wilmington, DE, Kelly Bixby of Wilmington, DE, and her Great-Grandchildren Matthew and Mia. Burial and Service will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery alongside her beloved Earl.

Applegate Jr., Edward K.* - West Chester  
1926-2015 Edward K. Applegate, Jr. After a long illness, Edward K. Applegate, Jr. passed peacefully on Friday, March 20 at the age of 88. Ed served during World War II in the U.S. Army as a sergeant stationed in the Philippines. Receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Philadelphia and began a career in real estate which lasted over 60 years. He was a founding owner of Gatewood Realtors that later merged with Berkshire Hathaway Roach Fox. A board member of the Delaware County Realtors Association prior to its becoming the Suburban West Realtors Association, he also served that organization as a member of its Real Estate Bar Practices Committee and was recognized as a Realtor Emeritus for his long and distinguished career. He was married to Vivian (Read) Applegate for 66 years before her death in 2013. They had five children: Linda Fabiani of Boca Raton, FLA.; Edward K. Applegate III (Diane) of Drexel Hill; Richard R. Applegate (Alice) of Pittsburgh; William B. Applegate (deceased); and Nancy Story (Gerald) of Bryn Mawr. Ed is also survived by his nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends and family will be received Friday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. A church service will be held Saturday, March 28 beginning at 9:30 at Collenbrook United, 5290 Township Line, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 followed with a burial at Arlington Cemetery in Upper Darby.
