Martin Jr., Louis L.* - Delaware County  
1925-2015 Louis L. Martin, Jr., 89, died on May 26, 2015 at Maris Grove Rose Court in Glen Mills while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Martin was a longtime resident of Prospect Park until moving to Maris Grove in 2008. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Louis L. and Ella May Martin. Mr. Martin was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed as an engineering manager with Bell Atlantic for 37 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood and was a 32nd Degree Mason associated with the Philadelphia Lodge. Mr. Martin was known for his skill in woodworking and wood carving with many examples of his work around his home and with his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friend to many. He was the husband of the late Marie J. Martin who died in 2011 and also was the father of the late Barry C. Martin. Survivors: Mr. Martin is survived by his son, Louis L. Martin, III of Prospect Park; his daughter Ree Scott (Ron) of Prospect Park; his 5 grandchildren including Kelly Horan (Mike), Ronnie Scott, and Lou Martin, IV; and his several great-grandchildren and his sister Ruth Farley. Memorial Service: Will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 11 a.m. at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074. Visitation: Will be on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions made to The Maris Grove Benevolent Fund, 500 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, Pa. 19342 would be appreciated. McCloskey Sr., John C. "Jack"* - Phoenixville  
John C. "Jack" McCloskey Sr., age 77, husband of the late Patricia (Polumbo) McCloskey and the late June Hashim, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Bernard and Catherine (Kelly) McCloskey. Mr. McCloskey graduated from West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, and served in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Allendale Gifts and Lynn's Hallmark. He was a devoted family man, and was a member of the Elks and a founding member of the Little Club in Surprise, AZ. Mr. McCloskey is survived by three children, Barbara E., wife of Kenneth Sabo of Phoenixville, PA, Karen L. McCloskey of Watertown, MA, and John C. Jr., husband of Patricia McCloskey of Mertztown, PA; three grandchildren, Sean M., Sara E., and Matthew R. Sabo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Sadie Furman, Patricia Sanders, Mickey and Jimmy McCloskey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 AM. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery, 222 Pecks Road, Pittsfield, MA on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
