Blake, Bruce Borsum* - Bar Harbor  
Bar Harbor, Maine Bruce Borsum Blake, 80, passed away on Monday June 15, 2015. He was born on September 9, 1934 in Queens, New York, the son of Winchester and Elsa (Borsum) Blake. He was married to the former Margaret Stebbins of Schenectady for 55 years prior to her passing in 2013. Bruce grew up in New York City and graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. He received a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology the following year. During his summers in college, he worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club as a hutman in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. After graduating from MIT, he joined the Vertol Aircraft Company, Morton, PA. Vertol was acquired by Boeing in 1960, where he remained for the next 37 years until his retirement. He rose through the ranks at Boeing, retiring as Director of Research and Technology. Bruce worked on all of the helicopters manufactured by Boeing including the CH-46 Sea Knight, CH-47 Chinook, YUH-61A UTTAS, V-22 Osprey and RAH-66 Comanche. After his retirement he enjoyed volunteering at the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester, PA. Bruce and Margaret visited Maine many times, fell in love with the area and decided to retire to Bar Harbor permanently. He became actively involved in the community rebuilding trails and trail signs with Friends of Acadia, driving for Island Connections and supporting the Bar Harbor Congregational Church. Bruce loved hiking, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, model railroading and all aircraft. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his four children; Carolyn Blake and partner Carolyn Campbell of Ellsworth, Me, William and Valerie Blake of Xenia, OH, Nancy Blake of Windham, ME and Jennifer and Norman La Fleur of Stratham, NH; three grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Blake, and Lauren La Fleur, and extended family and friends in the Bar Harbor Maine community. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret. A memorial service will be held at 10AM, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church, 29 Mt. Desert Street, Maine. Blocksom, Jay T.* - Wilmington  
1952-2015 Jay T. Blocksom, age 63 of Wilmington, DE, died on June 22, 2015 at HUP. A resident of Wilmington for 29 years, he previously resided in Media and Drexel Hill, PA. Jay was the owner and operator of his own computer company, Appropriate Technology for over 25 years. His hobbies included the base guitar, car racing and road rallies and he was a member of the Rose Tree Motor Club. He also enjoyed fishing, sailing, and spending time at his shore house in Lavallette, NJ. He is preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Rae Stewart Blocksom and is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy “Bunny” Adkinson Blocksom, stepson, Robert (Lindsie) Griffin Jr., 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Sophia and Bennett, along with numerous other relatives. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of sharing that will take place on Tuesday, 11a.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA where friends may call from 9:30-11a.m. Interment will be private. Brennan, Angeline M.* - Delaware County  
1963-2015 Angeline M. “Angie” Brennan, age 51, died suddenly June 26, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media. Angeline was raised and educated in Wallingford. Angie was a 1982 graduate of Strath Haven High School. Most recently a resident of Upper Chichester for 9 years. Angeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who always put others first. She adored and spoiled her grandchildren that were the love of her life. Angie loved vacationing during the summer in Wildwood and she also loved her animals and was a longtime member of the ASPCA. She enjoyed cooking and would always make enough to share with family and friends. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Drummond) May. Survivors: Her husband of 30 years Paul Brennan, children Anna, Victoria, and Samantha Brennan. Brother Jimmy May, sister Phyllis Masten, and grandchildren Mariana Smallwood and Kayden King. 1967-2015 Seamus Cosby Brennan, 48, of Swarthmore, PA., died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Brown, James E.* - Philadelphia  
1947-2015 James E. Brown “Jungle Jim” age 67 of Philadelphia, Pa. departed this life on June 23, 2015 at Fitzgerald-Mercy Hospital in Darby, Pa. James was born in Chance, Maryland to the late James E. Johnson and Lucy Brown Beckett and was a graduate of Chester High School. James was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Philadelphia where he belonged to the Christ Like Ministry. Before his retirement, James was employed in the maintenance department at Korman Suites. In addition to his parents, James was also pre-deceased by his sister Elmira Young, his brother Mitchell Beckett and a grandson Jamar Scott. The beautiful memory of James’ life will remain here in the hearts of his wife Brenda Brown, children: Michelle Scott, Carolyn Hatten, Charlotte Johnson, Flamong Brown, and Albert Crosby, 2 sisters Dora Lee {James}, and Vanessa Beckett-Thornton, 14 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Brown Jr., William L.* - Essington  
1944-2015 William L. Brown, Jr. “Bill”, age 71, of Essington, Pa. passed away on June 27, 2015. He was a longtime auto mechanic in Delaware County. During his career he received many awards, accolades and recognition for his knowledge and expertise. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William L. Sr. and Helen Brown (nee Conway), sister, Mary Lou Most, and son, William L. Brown, III “Billy”. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Stella Judith Brown (nee Drabkoski), children, Jackie, David, Lynnette, Corinne “Terri”, Angeline “Angie”, and Melissa. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, his special grandson Zac, sister, Helen “Joan” Minner and many nieces and nephews.
