Delbert E. "Del" "Gene" Minter, Sr. Delbert E. "Del" "Gene" Minter, Sr., age 70 of Chester, Pa. quietly left this earth on September 18, 2013 at Wallingford Nursing Home surrounded by his many family members. Delbert was born in Sanford, NC to the late Clarence Minter and Mottie Bell Cole Minter. He was a graduate of Chester High School and worked as a laborer for Scott Paper Company. Delbert was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Delbert was also pre-deceased by his sister Vivian Perkins, and his brother Alfred Minter. Survivors: Wife Eleanor E. Ward Minter, his children: Delbert E. Minter, Jr. {Rose}, Darius L. Minter, Diallo D. Minter, Derrick C. Minter, Deirdre D. Minter_Askins {Gerald}, and Devin C. Minter {Dimitra}, his siblings: Edna Covington, Pastor Brenda Harrington {Larry}, Ella M. Walker, and Lula Ford-Robinson {Steve}, 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends Service: Thursday Sept. 26, 2013 11:00 am at St. Luke Community Christian Church 4th Street & Central Ave. Chester.
