Donald Wayne Ferguson Sr.

Donald Wayne Ferguson, Sr., 76 Donald Wayne Ferguson, Sr., 76, of Woodlyn section of Ridley Township passed away peacefully on January 1, 2014. He lived in Woodlyn for the past 49 years. Born in Upper Darby, he was raised in Clifton Heights. He was a graduate of Clifton Heights High School, Class of 1955. He served in the United States Marine Corp 2nd Division from 1956- 1962. He was employed by BP oil Company for 30 years before retiring. He was currently employed as a crossing guard for Ridley Township. Donald also served as a committee man for the Ridley Township Republican Party. He was a fan of the Eagles and Phillies, as well as Notre Dame and Ridley Football. Donald was a member of the Ridley Sports Club and also enjoyed his daily visits to the Rite Aid and Acme. He was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church in Eddystone where he sang in the choir. He loved spending time with his family and friends where he enjoyed good times and good cheer. He had a love for all animals, especially his cat Buddy. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marylou (Farrelly) Ferguson, his parents Margaret V. (Carr) and Lewis M. Ferguson, Brothers William and George. Survivors: His children: daughters, Donna (Steve) DePaola, Debbie Geiger, and son, Donald Ferguson Jr., all of Woodlyn. Grandchildren: Samantha and Brandon Geiger. Memorial Mass: Tuesday, January 7, 10:00 a.m., at Saint Rose of Lima Church, Chester Pk. at Simpson St., Eddystone. Visitation: 9:00-10:00a.m. at the church.
