Ethel Lee Harris

Ethel L. Summers Harris, 83 Mushroom Factory Worker Ethel Lee "Ebby" Summers Harris, 83 of Chester died on April 18, 2013 at Belvedere Nursing Home in Chester, PA. Ethel was born in Boothwyn, PA and was the daughter of the late Frank L. Summers, Sr., and Lydia Wilson Summers. She grew up in Twin Oaks, PA and attended the Chichester School District. Ethel later moved to Chester when she met and married Robert Harris. She was an employee of the Brandywine Mushroom Company in West Chester, PA. She retired after 25 years of service due to failing health. She later became a foster grandparent at the Concord Day Care Center for several years. She was also a member of the Community Prayer Band of Chester and Vicinity. Predeceased by her husband Robert J. Harris, Jr.; and sisters Mary Eliza Henry, Sara Julia Brown, Mildred Ann Harper, and Dorothy Marie Bannister. Survivors: Three sisters, Bernice Lewis of Chester, PA, Geneva Watkins of Chester Township, PA, and Geraldine Cooper of Chester, PA. 1 brother, Frank L. Summers, Jr. of Feltonville, PA; 3 nieces who took special care of her, Lydia Watkins of Brookhaven, PA, Pamela Bannister of Brookhaven, PA, and Nadine Summers of Chester, PA; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
