John D. "Jack" Ralston 92

John "Jack" D. Ralston, 92, of Garnet Valley, PA, died on November 30, 2012 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Born, raised and educated in Sharon Hill, PA, he resided for the majority of his married life in Aldan, PA. For the past 9 years he lived in Garnet Valley, PA. Jack was an estimator for Hajoca Plumbing Supplies in Chester for over 40 years. He retired in the 1990s.
He served in the Army during WWII and earned the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct, American Defense Service Medal, American Theater Service Medal, African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.
He was a longtime member of the Tully Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sharon Hill. Upon moving to Garnet Valley, he became a member of Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Jack enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Tully Church bowling team. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader and a fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, William G. Sr. and Elizabeth McCrory Ralston, 1 brother, 1 sister and son- in-law, John Berstecher, who died in 2011.
Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Nancy J. Bateman Ralston; 2 daughters, Ellen J. Zuber and husband Brad of Louisville, KY and Beth A. Berstecher of Garnet Valley, PA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Services: Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church, 256 Bethel Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Visitation: Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
