John R. Dorsey(1920 - 2014)

John R. Dorsey, 93 John R. Dorsey, 93, of Chester, PA died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Brinton Manor Nursing Home in Glenn Mills, PA. Born in West Grove, PA on October 26, 1920, he was the son of the late Elva Lee and Roland Dorsey. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Mae Lewis-Savoy with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas E. Clark and two sisters, Freggeta Dorsey and Melissa Dorsey Hunter. A World War II Veteran, Mr. Dorsey served in the US Army for four years. He had been employed at Ford Motor Company, Chester, PA, FMC Corporation, Marcus Hook, PA, and retired as a Computer Technician from Avtex Fibers Inc., Aston, PA. Survivors: A son, the Rev. Kenneth R. Dorsey and daughter-in-law Jocelyn Earnshaw-Dorsey of Annandale, VA; two nieces, Chiquita C. Sorrels of Silver Spring, MD and Sharon D. McKee of Chesapeake, VA; and many cousins and friends. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services on Thursday, January 9th, 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke C. C.
