Leda Edith Johnson

Leda Edith Johnson, 96 Leda Edith Johnson, 96, of Morton, PA, died March 8, 2014, at St. Francis Country House in Darby. Born in Italy, Leda had lived in Lansdowne for many years before moving to Upper Darby and most recently to Morton where she lived with her niece and loving caregiver Angie Verdecchio. Leda had been employed at the Barksdale Photo Studio in Lansdowne for 17 years and then for Pierce Phelps (Zenith TV) in Philadelphia, when she retired in 1982. She was named a Life Member of the Lansdowne Fire Company Auxiliary for her untiring work and devotion. Leda was predeceased by her husband John, sister Mary Landolfi and brother Charles Offidani. Survivors: Two sons William of Jacksonville, FL and Donald of New Jersey, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, 10 a.m., St. Philomena Church, Baltimore and Highland Aves., Lansdowne, PA, where family and friends may visit in the church after 9 a.m. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery.
