Thomas M. Glynn Sr.

Thomas M. Glynn, Sr. Longtime Sharon Hill resident and Korean War Veteran Thomas M. Glynn, Sr., age 83, of West Chester and formerly of Sharon Hill, died on November 6, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Thomas was born on June 5, 1930 the son of the late John and Winifred (nee Hastings) Glynn. He graduated from Collingdale High School. Thomas served as a Sergeant in the Army Infantry during two combat tours in the Korean War. He worked for Philadelphia Electric Company as an Aerial Lines Foreman retiring after 40 years of service. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending his grandson's ball games. He was an avid Phillies and Flyers fan. He was predeceased by his brother Jack Glynn, Jr. and his sisters Kathleen Glynn Brown, Winifred "Unie" Glynn Duer and Ann Glynn Bell. Survivors: His beloved wife of 59 years, Patricia (nee McFadden) Glynn. Loving father of Thomas (Tricia) Glynn, Jr. and Patty (John) Martin. Grandfather of Ian, Kyle, Thomas III, Tim and Chris. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday, from 9a.m. to 10:30a.m., at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11a.m. at the Church of Holy Spirit, Sharon Hill.
