Virginia Griffin

Virginia Lee Griffin 'Ginny', 85 Virginia Lee Griffin 'Ginny', 85, of Boothwyn went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 14. She was born to the late Lehman and Melissa Ricks, Shelby County, Tennessee. She married the late Earl M. Griffin December of 1945 in Mississippi and moved to Pennsylvania shortly there after. She resided in Trainer, Pa for 40 years before relocating to Boothwyn. Virginia worked as a waitress for many years and was passionate about being with family, friends, and her grandchildren. Virginia, was a member of Chichester United Wesleyan Church, Trainer Fire Company, and also a life member of the VFW 5546 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to crochet, sew, and cook. Survivors: Three children: Daughter, Barbara Gaudino, (Frank),of Trainer, Son Richard Griffin, (Susan), of Chester, and son David Griffin (Mary), of Boothwyn. She also is survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Viewing: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Virginia's viewing at Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 West 9th Street, Trainer, PA 19061, Thursday, 7 - 9 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m.-10:30a.m. Memorial Service: Will be held Friday morning, at 10:30 a.m., at the Memorial Home. Interment: Will take place at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers: The family is requesting that donations be made out to The Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
