William G. Worrell III

William G. Worrell, III, 71 U.S. Navy Veteran & Boeing Retiree William Garrett Worrell, III, 71, of Aston, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late, William Garrett Worrell, Jr. and Margaret (Warner) Worrell and beloved husband to Carol (Jurasek) Worrell. He is survived by five daughters, Cynthia Navickas (John), Allison Rode (David), Valerie Connors (William), Vanessa Blake (John), and Jessica Howard (Philip), and nine grandchildren, Heather and John Navickas, Jr., David and Alexa Rode, Kaitlin and Declan Connors, Jude Blake, and Noah and Shelby Howard. Bill worked at Boeing for 40 years, served on the first Hazmat Team and was an honorary fire chief. After his retirement from Boeing, Bill loved the three years he spent as security patrol at Garnet Valley High School. He was also passionate about helping in the community. He volunteered with Aston-Beechwood Fire Co. and served as Captain for 12 years. He was also the friendly crossing guard at Mount Hope United Methodist Church for 22 years.
