Betsy A. Craighead-Plett, 56 Formerly of Chester Heights, PA Betsy A. Craighead-Plett, 56, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011. Betsy grew up in New Orleans, LA and graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of Texas. She maintained many strong and enduring friendships dating back to her childhood, college, and years in PA. Betsy had been devoted to her Bi-lingual and High School Spanish students in Chester-Upland until forced to retire due to late stage ovarian cancer in 2004. She moved to Annapolis, MD with her husband three years ago to continue her battle at the Johns Hopkins Dept. of Oncology. Betsy became an ardent supporter of Ovarian Cancer Research and was courageous in both her will and effort to live.
