Obituary Condolences

Anthony C. "Tony" Skoutelas, 47 Nurturing a Lifelong Love of Learning Anthony C. "Tony" Skoutelas, 47, of Glen Mills, died October 20, 2011 at his home. Born in Chester, Mr. Skoutelas lived in Havertown prior to moving to his late residence eleven years ago. Tony was a graduate of Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA, he received a B.S. Degree in Business from Villanova University, a Law Degree from Seton Hall Law School, his Teaching Certification from West Chester University and his Principal Certification from Penn State University. He was one of the founding members and Head Master of Odyssey Charter School in Wilmington for the past six years and previously worked in the Wissahickon School District. Mr. Skoutelas was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church where he served on the Church Council. He was also a member of Ahepa Wilmington Chapter and several other professional and community organizations. He was an avid college sports fan, especially Penn State Football and Villanova Basketball. Tony enjoyed running but most important was his devotion to his family. Survivors: His loving wife of 18 years of L. Daphne Yiannos Skoutelas; devoted father of Panos Anthony Skoutelas, Charissa Martha Skoutelas and Ariana Voula Skoutelas; son of Peter and Harriet Eliades Skoutelas; brother of Paul P. Skoutelas (Denise) and James P. Skoutelas (Maria); also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral Service: 11 AM Monday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063 (Middletown Twp.)
