Aurora R. Intenzo Aurora R. Intenzo, 91, of Havertown, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, friends and caregivers on September 24, 2013. Beloved wife for 65 years to the late Vincent A. Intenzo. Survivors: Devoted mother of Anthony V. Intenzo (Valerie) and Anita J. Intenzo. Survived by her 5 cherished grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jason (Frannie), Christopher (Heather) Gabrielle and Nicholas and great- grandson Tyler. Also survived by her sister-in-law Marie, brother-in-law Carmen and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Erminio and Michael and sisters: Felicia, Connie, and Gemma. Born in South Philadelphia, people remember Aurora not just for her radiant smile, boundless energy and red hair but for the beautiful, kind and loving person she was who always thought of her family first. She was proud of her Italian heritage and that translated into making her famous homemade pasta, ravioli and lasagna dinners along with her delicious and legendary desserts: Biscotti, pizzelles, cheese pies and chocolate chip cookies. She was not only a talented homemaker who sewed her own and her children's clothes but a wonderful hostess and secretary/bookkeeper for her husband's business. She also volunteered for 12 years at the Haverford Community Hospital and when that closed worked for another 8 years at Nana's Attic. She took care of her husband through his long 10 year battle with Parkinson's disease with devotion and care. She was direct, demanding, honest and funny with stories of her crazy antics that will keep us all laughing for many years to come. She battled her numerous illnesses the last 6 years with courage and tenacity and finally passed peacefully, no doubt, into the arms of her waiting husband. All who knew her recognized a unique human being who had a caring heart and feisty spirit. We mourn her passing but are grateful for her long and wonderful life. Viewing: Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Saturday, 8:30 to 9:45 AM, at the D'Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Sacred Heart Church, Havertown. Entombment: SS. Peter and Paul Garden Mausoleum.
