Beatrice Dewey Zimmerman

Beatrice Dewey (nee Brown) Zimmerman, 88, passed away Jan. 17, 2014, at Sterling Nursing Care, Media.
Born Oct. 7, 1925, in Frackville, she was the daughter of the late David and Barbara (Balliet) Brown. Bea was predeceased by two husbands, Charles H. Dewey who died in 1981 and Luther O. Zimmerman who died in 2012.
Bea was a graduate of Frackville High School. While married to Charles she lived in Aston; raised two daughters; and worked at A&P in Aston for 20 years before her retirement. During her marriage to Lou she lived in The Villas, Lower Township, N.J., where she enjoyed the beach and traveling around the world. Bea cherished visits from her children and grandchildren.
Survivors: Her daughters, Catherine Dewey and Lynne Zimmerman; siblings, Milton Brown, Barbara Ferguson, Robert Brown, and Bella Adamson; her grandchildren, Ruth, Dawn, Robb, Beth, and Joan; seven great grandchildren; seven stepchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was also predeceased by three brothers, David, Paul and John Brown.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston.
Flowers are welcome at the funeral home.
