Betty Anderson Obituary

Betty Jane (NEE Hofmeister) Anderson Betty Jane (NEE Hofmeister) Anderson, age 84, died December 27, 2013 at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland. Before moving to Belvedere Nursing Home, she resided in Media after living nearly 42 years in Upland. Betty was born April 18, 1929 and was raised in Chester. She was a teacher's aide for the Chester-Upland School District for 18 years and was former member of Upland United Methodist Church were she was a lay leader, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She also attended the Garden City Chapel in Wallingford. She was the daughter of the late Henry G. & Emma (Gawalt) Hofmeister. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E, Anderson, and a sister, Dorothy Beaumont. Survivors: Daughters: Diedre Edwards (David), Cheryl Smith (Mark). 4 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Brother, Henry Hofmeister. Visitation: Friday January 3, 2014 from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm at Nolan - Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Funeral Service: Friday 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston. Memorial Donations may be made to Eddystone United Methodist Church, 9th & Saville Ave, Eddystone, PA 19022. or Ranch Hope at www.ranchhope.org.
