Catherine M. Carroll

Catherine M. Carroll, 89 Catherine M. Carroll, 89, formerly of Chester died on Oct. 26 at Southampton Estates. She was the daughter of Thomas and Kathleen Carroll. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Chester. She graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary School and Chester High School. Miss Carroll worked as a technical secretary in the engineering division at Westinghouse. She was a woman of great faith and a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church. She enjoying knitting, bingo, and the South Jersey shore. She was a generous person especially as a sponsor of the priesthood in the Third World. She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine M. Costa, Rita Johnson, Agnes Sweeney, Sr. M. Thomas Kathleen Carroll, IHM, Anne Maher and her brothers Lawrence, Thomas and Arthur. Survivors: Her sister Jean Alessi of Wilmington, DE and many nieces and nephews. Service: Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:30 AM in St. Katharine Drexel Church 20th St. and Providence Ave. Chester. Viewing: Friends may call from 8:30am to 10:00 am at Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Route 320) Wallingford. Interment: Immaculate Heart Cemetery Linwood.
