Colleen A. Scott

Colleen A. Scott (nee Horgan), 86, Colleen A. Scott (nee Horgan), 86, of Springfield, PA, died March 24, 2013 at Little Flower Manor. Born in Detroit, she was a resident of Delaware County since 1953. She was a longtime hostess at Walber's on the Delaware and had also worked at Hilton Hotels and Strawbridge and Clothier. A Member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Springfield, she volunteered at Taylor Hospital, Tri County Hospital, (now Springfield Hospital), and at the Philadelphia Zoo. A lover of animals she raised a prize winning cow at the Pennsylvania State Fair. With her husband, Dallas, she owned and bred thoroughbred race horses and they were share owners in the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Indians franchises. A sports enthusiast, Colleen was a Temple Basketball fan. Mrs. Scott enjoyed traveling and among her destinations in Europe were Spain and Ireland; She also went on an African safari. Survivors: Include her husband of 27 years, Dallas S. Scott, Jr.; her children, Nancy Hayes-Torgan, Christine Sanders, Colleen Brost and Robert Hayes; 8 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister, Joan Downs and 2 step-children Edie Berstler and Dallas S.
