Mr Burke was great teacher and coach. He touch so many lives at both Ardmore Junior High and Lower Merion and made a big impact on their success. We are forever grateful for his dedication and investment in our successes.

Mr. Burke had a dry sense of humor but was one of the funniest men I've ever encountered. He made learning easy and fun.
It's been almost 40 years since AJHS but it seems like yesterday. Mr. Burke, you will be sorely missed .

May you rest in peace, Mr. Burke, knowing how much you meant to so many people. Your light will shine on in those you taught and coached for many years to come.

What I am feeling right now is hard to put into words. Mr. Burke meant a great deal to me and my family, as a teacher, coach, mentor, and friend. I met him when he was beginning his teaching career, as my world cultures teacher at Ardmore Jr. High. He came into my world again as a teacher and coach to my sons and stepsons. He always had a kind word to say, was very concerned about the well-being of the wrestling team members, and loved the annual banquet. Mr. Burke was a good man. It would be hard to find another like him. He will certainly be missed by many of his former students, friends and team members.

Mr Burke was a 1 in a 1,000,000 man, teacher, and mentor. His teaching method was the only one that made me fill an entire three ring binder with notes. I was mesmerized while taught world history all the time munching on a candy bar for his diabetic condition. The world is a little bit dimmer without his light.

Mr. Burke was one of the best coaches I've had the honor of playing for, but more importantly he was an incredibly humble, compassionate man. Condolences go out to Mr. Burke's family, friends, and students.

I was very sorry to hear this. Mr. Burke was one of my favorite teachers at LMHS. He not only taught me a lot, but also gave me one of the funniest nicknames ever (at least in my opinion) because I was fire captain of the class: Fire Captain Stud. Yes, that's what he called me. What a funny, great teacher and a kind man. My thoughts are with your family.

My sincere condolences to his family. I enjoyed his class so much, what a great guy! I always remember him making his students take the globe as the bathroom pass! he will be missed.

Mr. Burke was a great teacher and coach. He believed in every kids' potential, from the top athlete to the couch potato. Rest in Peace, Mr. Burke.

I enjoyed reconnecting with Mr. Burke over the past few years. We went to wrestling matches, model train shows, and many breakfasts with former LMers
