My heartfelt wishes for God's grace and peace to be with the family and friends of David. Although he was son of the late Anna, who was Sister to my late Grandmother Margaret [Raymond] Handy of Chester, PA -- and thereby first cousin to my Dad (Wendell P. Benson, also of Chester), I hadn't met David until the summer of 2001. He would've been about age 63 then.
I introduced myself to this tall and burly seasoned gentleman, whose warm smile betrayed his approachable demeanor. We shared some words about the idea of going fishing someday, but alas -- the prospect for that has passed us by.
My earnest hope is that family, friends and acquaintances would all embrace Christ Jesus, the Savior of those whose trust is in his death for our sins -- and in His resurrection, which utterly guarantees our hope of new life, now -- and for all eternity after we too, have breathed our last.
God's greatest blessings of life in Christ is available to us all, if only we'd seek after Him, and knock for it, while it is still "today". The Lord bless you all.
