Donald Foellner Obituary

Donald M. Foellner Donald M. Foellner, on June 16, 2013, age 87 of Springfield since 1977, A graduate of Ridley Twp. High School in 1943, he went on to receive degrees from Temple University School of Engineering and Penn State. He served with the US Navy during the second World War as a Radar operator on board the Battleship New York in the Pacific Theatre of Operations during the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was employed for the Westinghouse Co for 33 years retiring in 1984, he was responsible for working the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station and with the NASA satellites programs. Mr. Foellner attended the Holmes Presbyterian Church and enjoyed walking as a past time, he was also a published poet. Donald loved animals of all kinds and helped his niece with the care of her Quarter horses. Survivors: his brother Fred of Holmes, his sister Evelyn Smith of Aston, his niece Lori Davis, nephew Gerry Skau, and his great nephews & nieces Tom, Michael, Rachel Hager and Becca and Liz. Calling Time:Relatives and friends are invited to attend on Wed eve. From 6:00 to 8:00PM Funeral Service: at 7:00PM in the Frank C. Videon Funeral home, Sproul and Lawrence Rds.,Broomall. Memorials may be sent in his name to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Int: Private
