Gladys Griffis Obituary

Gladys M. (nee Routzahn) Griffis, 93, formerly of Lansdowne, died Dec. 29, 2012, at Broomall Presbyterian Village.
Born and raised in Phila., she was a graduate of West Phila H.S. Mrs. Griffis worked in the advertising industry as a manager, monitoring sales and viewership for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. She had lived in Darby, Lansdowne and most recently at Rosemont and Broomall Presbyterian Villages.
She enjoyed travel, music and was an avid reader. Her most enjoyable times were spent with family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert M, Griffis, Jr,; mother of the late Albert M. Griffis III and the late Carol Rapisardo;
Survivors: Her daughters, Gail (Warren) Pennell of Clifton Heights, Susan (Charles) Famiglietti of Media, her daughter-in-law, Christine Griffis of West Chester, a brother, David Routzahn of Sewell NJ, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service/Visitation: 11 AM Sat. at Toppitzer's at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, where friends may call at 10 am.
Contributions to Ronald McDonald House, 3925 Chestnut St., Phila 19104 would be preferred. Online Condolences: www.arlingtoncemetery.us
