Grace E. Haines

Grace E. (nee Parson) Haines, 91 Grace E. (nee Parson) Haines, 91, of Media, PA. passed away peacefully on July 1, 2013 with her family by her side. Grace was born in Media, PA. on January 31, 1922. Daughter of Alice and Howard Parson. She was a graduate of Media High School where she met her beloved husband, Bob. Bob's career in the automobile business took them to Benton for a short time but they returned to Media. She was active in the Upper Providence Fire Company Auxiliary for a number of years and loved hosting Sunday dinners for her family. She was a regular patron at Dunkin' Donuts and then McDonald's in Media where she cherished her extended family of friends there. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E., Sr. in 1989 and her three sisters, Florence, Alice and Anna. Survivors: Four sons, Robert E., Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Aston; John (Jack) and wife, Nancy, of Augusta, ME; William (Bill) and wife, Karen, of Jacksonville Beach, FL; and Richard of N. Fort Myers, FL. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, R. William (Bill) and wife, Denise, of Upper Providence with whom she lived: Brenda Duffy and husband, Jack, of Upper Providence; John, Jr. of Ocean City, MD; Jeffrey and wife, Kristina of St. Louis, MO; and Nicholas Haines serving in the Navy. Grace is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, William (Billy), Kirsten, Hannah, Andrew, Alyssa, John, Jenna, Matthew and Audrey and special niece, Louise Willa Downes of Alexandria, VA. Viewing: Will be held Tuesday, from 10 to 11 AM, at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St., Media, PA. Funeral Service: Tuesday, 11:00 AM, at the Funeral Home.
