Herbert Edwin Anderson

Herbert Edwin Anderson, age 84 Herbert Edwin Anderson, age 84, died December 1, 2013 at Belvedere Nursing Center in Chester. Herbert was born in Claymont, DE and raised in Trainer. He lived in Upland for 42 years before moving to Media and recently a resident of Belvedere. Herbert was an insulator at General Chemical for more than 37 years before his retirement. He enjoyed buying and selling items at local flea markets. He was a former member of the Upland United Methodist Church where he was the sexton and belonged to the Men's Bowling League. Herbert attended Garden City Chapel, Wallingford. He served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves. He was the son of the late John W. and Helen (Christopher) Anderson. Brother of the late Harry, Clarence, and John Anderson. Father of the late Herbert Ramer. Survivors: His wife of 58 years Betty Jane (Hofmeister) Anderson, Daughters Diedre Edwards (David), Cheryl Smith (Mark), and Dolores Rau. 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation: Saturday, from 9:00-10:15a.m., at Nolan - Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Funeral Service: Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
