James S. Graham Obituary
James S. Graham James S. Graham of Norwood, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Crozer-Keystone Hospice Residence at Taylor Hospital. James was 82. James was born to the late Samuel and Martha (nee Reese) Graham, and is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Gertrude D. (nee MacIntosh) Graham. James proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, and earned the National Defense Service Medal. After the war, he worked at the Sun Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook until his retirement. James was very involved in his community; for many years he served on the Norwood Fourth of July Committee, where he served as President and Parade Master. He also was a member of the Norwood Planning Commission. James was a proud member of the American Legion John Wesley Cross Post 507 and the Norwood VFW Post 7213. He also belonged to the Sun Honor Club, and was a Red Cross volunteer. James was a devoted father to his children, grandchildren, and loving companion to his partner, Catherine Loomis. He was also dedicated to Catherine's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. James enjoyed golfing, bowling, sharing meals with family and friends, and loved spending time with his extended family. Survivors: His companion of 20 years, Catherine Loomis; a son, Frank Graham; two daughters, Dorothy "Doe" Graham, and Gertrude "Trudy" Depew (Mark). James also lives on in his grandchildren, James Oakley, Patrick Oakley, Victoria Depew, and Savannah Graham. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas MacIntosh and Samuel MacIntosh, and many loving nieces and nephews. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074, on Thursday, July 24, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There will be a brief service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers: Donations can be made to the Crozer-Keystone Hospice Residence at Taylor Hospital, 175 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA
