John J. Cannon, 84 Born in Dirlaught, Lettermacaward County, Donegal, Ireland John J. Cannon, 84 of Ridley Park, died peacefully on June 18, 2013. Born in Dirlaught, Lettermacaward County, Donegal, Ireland, Mr. Cannon came to the United States in 1959 and settled in Malvern and lived in Lansdowne before moving to his late residence 48 years ago. He was a carpenter for Carpenter's Union, Local 465, retiring in 1991. Mr. Cannon was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus Peace Council. He worked on the Alaska Pipeline for two years in the 1970's. He loved the Philadelphia Flyers; but most important to him was his devotion to his faith and his loving family, and he especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. Mr. Cannon was son of the late Hugh and Bridget Gallagher Cannon and brother of the late Neal Cannon and Bridget Logue. Survivors: His wife Grace J. Brogan Cannon whom he married in 1961; his children Hugh Cannon (Jackie), Maureen Clark (Louis), John Cannon (Laura) and Christine Ladislaw (Jim); grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Collin, Zachary, Austin and Grace. Funeral Mass/Calling Hours: 10:00AM, Saturday, at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022, where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45AM. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
