John F. Coyne John F. Coyne, long time resident of Chester PA, passed away on Feb 15, 2013 in Tucson AZ. Born in Pittsburgh on July 4 1925 to Michael and Ellen Coyne, he attended PMC College, (Widner University), and served in the US NAVY in WWII.He was a seaman first class aboard the USS Twiggs, which was sunk off of the coast of Okinawa on June 16, 1945. Survivors: his daughter, Patricia Coyne-Johnson (Rev John Johnson) of Tucson, AZ, his son Joseph Coyne ( Beth Korn Coyne) of Downingtown, PA and his grandson Joshua Coyne (Malena Martinez) of West Chester PA. Service: will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery on April 6 at 1100 AM with a luncheon at the Lamb Tavern in Springfield to celebrate John's life.In lieu of flowers: please consider a donation to the Disabled Veterans Program at the University of Illinois, the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, https://www.michaeljfox.org, or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation http://www.cff.org/Chapters/delawarevalley.
