John Michael "Mike" Murtaugh, 78 John Michael "Mike" Murtaugh, 78, of Garnet Valley, PA died on November 27, 2013. Born to the late John Michael and Rita Murtaugh, he has resided the past 10 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Upper Providence, PA. Mr. Murtaugh was the owner and operator of his own wholesale auto business which he started in 1966, Suburban Auto Sales. He operated his business out of Prospect Park, PA and moved to Media in the early 1980's where it is still operated by his sons. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and was an avid golfer belonging to the Springhaven Country Club for 33 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Robert Murtaugh who died in 2007. Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Joanne Zdan Murtaugh, sons, Michael (Nadine) Murtaugh and John (Laura) Murtaugh, grandchildren, Michael Murtaugh, Jody Vrontisis, Amanda Cassidy, Jay Murtaugh, Lea Murtaugh, Jessica Murtaugh, siblings, Denny Murtaugh, Chris Murtaugh and Terry Murtaugh and Debbie McDevitt. Funeral Mass: Thursday, 10:30a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd. Glen Mills, PA 19342 Visitation: Thursday, 9:15-10:15a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
