Joseph M. Dever

Joseph M. Dever, 74 Of Ardmore, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA Joseph M. Dever, 74, passed away on October 28, 2012. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen M. and Elizabeth Dever (nee Gray). He was employed as an automobile mechanic as well as a bus driver for Radnor, Rose Tree and Darby Townships. Joe grew up in East Lansdowne as the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1956 and married his love, Ann Kilcoyne, in 1972. His love of cars, motorcycles, dogs and classic rock music persisted into adulthood. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Sixers fan and could often be found watching boxing matches with his sons. He enjoyed seeing U2, Dave Matthews, and David Gray in concert, but always praised Frank Sinatra as the greatest musician of all time. More than anything, he enjoyed watching his three children and new grandson grow. He encouraged them to do their best in life and never quit. Joe's unique sense of humor and love for his family will be missed dearly. Survivors: His sons Matthew and Michael; his daughter Tara D. Morris, M.D.; his sister Beth Bonfig; his grandson Ryan Morris. Pre-deceased by his wife Anne Marie Dever (nee Kilcoyne) and his son Joseph.
