Joseph G. Keenan, 48 Joseph G. Keenan, 48, of Springfield, PA on April 9, 2013. Although Joey Keenan had a huge smile, it was his caring heart that was the biggest part of him. His daughter, Cassie, was his world, and owned the majority of his heart...family and friends owned the rest. Joey was a devoted father, son, brother, nephew, friend, and son-in-law. If he could help, he was there in a flash. At a moment's notice, Joey could deliver great humor and infectious laughter, accompanied by an endearing hug or handshake. Whether it was his impressions of his beloved Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger or Keith Richards, or a riveting color commentary of the most recent Eagles' game, Joey could make you smile at the very least, and/or belly laugh at the very best. Joey's daily trips to Wawa were his Springfield ritual, as was polling for the Republican Party every election cycle. He was also a volunteer for Shining Down prostate cancer benefit. Breaking out the vinyl albums and eight-track cassettes from his extensive collections were another ritual. His treasured pieces of music served as the soundtrack for his endless creative cooking experiments in the kitchen. But, as much as he loved his hometown and all of its comforts, he also enjoyed adventurous travel. Joey's spent great summers in Wildwood, Longport and Sea Isle City, NJ where he could surf, or simply relax, surrounded by loving family and friends. New York City and Ireland were his two favorite distant destinations. Joey proudly worked alongside his father, Joseph Keenan, Sr., at their flooring business, Ped Products, for a number of years. He also was employed by Southern Wine and Spirits, and most recently by Electric Factory Concert Series. Joey was educated at St. Francis of Assisi school in Springfield and Cardinal O'Hara. Joey graduated from Springfield High in 1983. At the end of his life, Joey's caring heart transcended life itself. As a Gift of Life donor, he blessed others to live on in his eternal spirit. Now even strangers are aware of how wonderful he was. Survivors: He is survived by his loving daughter, Cassandra Grace Keenan; his mother, Josephine (nee: Reynolds) Keenan; Sisters, Ann Marie (John) Scanzaroli, MaryEileen (Joe) Maginnis, Judith (Shawn) Delaney & Kathleen (Jason) Rode; 10 nieces & nephews.
