Luther Cooper Comegys, 93 Luther Cooper Comegys, 93, of Chester, died Jan. 11, 2013 at home.Born in Broodneck, Maryland, he was a resident of Chester. Luther was a member of St. Luke CC Church. . He enjoyed and loved shooting pool, driving and taking walks and staying up late watching TV. He served in the Army, was a security guard and housekeeper for Sacred Heart Hospital and the Twin Towers.He also worked for the City of Chester. Luther was educated in Concordville, PA. He was the son of the late William and Allie Cooper Comegys. Brother of the late Eva Freeman, Mary Frances Peirce, Anna Comegys-Johnson, Zelda Comegys and Charles Henry Comegys. Survivors: Two sisters, Rosetta Bentley and Lydia King, both of Chester; a very special niece Audrey Comegys, who he treated like a daughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.Visitation: 9am-11am, Tuesday, Jan. 22, St. Luke CC Church. Service: 11 am, Tuesday, St. Luke CC Church. Burial: Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. The family and friends will meet at the church.
