Mabel M. Mooney

Mabel M. Mooney, 93, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Mabel M. (nee Kerstetter) Mooney, 93, of Upper Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Brinton Manor in Glen Mills, Pa. She was the beloved Wife of the late Francis J. Mooney who passed away in 1987. Born in Dalmatia, Pa. she was a Daughter of the late Bessie (nee Stoner) Kerstetter and the late William Kerstetter. She was a 1937 graduate of Saint Clair High School and in addition to being a homemaker for many years she was also a self-employed Seamstress who specialized in creating beautiful wedding gowns. Mabel enjoyed baking, crocheting, and spending time with her family and had also been a former longtime resident of both West Chester and Folsom before moving to Upper Providence a few years ago. Survivors: Her Children; Nancy M. Kirk (Jack) of Edgemont, John Mooney (Suzanne) of Harrah, OK., Michael Mooney (Elaine) of Boothwyn, Susan Haas (Robert) of Brookhaven, Mary Lou Baskin (Bob) of Upper Providence, and her Daughter-In-Law; Dolores Mooney of Gibbstown, N.J. She is also survived by her 14 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her Husband and Parents Mabel was also preceded in death by her Sons; the late Francis "Bill" Mooney and the late Jimmy Mooney, her Grandson; the late Michael Mooney, her Great-Granddaughter; the late Alyssa Godfrey, and her Siblings; the late Ruth Schaeffer, the late Bessie McKeever, and the late John Kerstetter. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mabel's Life Celebration on Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., at James F. Knoetgen of Morton, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, Pa., 19070, and to participate in her Religious Service at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment: Will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Collingdale, Pa.
