Marie Maher Obituary
She has resided there since her late husband, William "Clem" Maher, died in October 2010. Following her birth in Philadelphia, she lived in Clifton Heights before marrying Clem on April 22, 1946. They lived in Springfield until their move to Concord Township in 1950.
For more than 60 years Mrs. Maher was a member of Elam United Methodist Church in Concord where she was involved in women's ministries and also past president of the United Methodist Women. Marie enjoyed knitting, hosting family get togethers, cooking and baking.
Marie is proceeded in death by her husband, William "Clem" Maher, and her son, Robert William Maher, 1990.
Survivors: Daughter, Diane L. Bless of Oviedo, FL. Grandchildren, Julie Maher Skowronski, John Maher, Sarah Bless Allison and Rebecca Bless Carroll; Great Grandchildren, Cameron Skowronski, Joshua Skowronski, Luke Allison and Giada Maher.
Visitation: Friday, Aug. 9 from 10:00 to 11:00AM at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
Service: 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
Burial: Elam Cemetery.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions to Elam United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342 or Barclay Friends Caring Fund, 700 North Franklin Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
Arrangements: Rigby Funeral Home.

I am sad that Mom is gone, but rejoice in the pleasant memories I have with her. I rejoice in the friends she made over the past 3 years at Barclay. I am so thankful for the wonderful care she received there and that she was very content with where she was. She was a wonderful Mom to Bob and I. Sadly Bob's life was cut short and we all didn't get to enjoy Mom together longer. She loved her Elam Church friends and activities and was such a giving person to those who were ill. I thank Mom for instilling that in me, so that I can carry on that legacy. She was loved by all but especially by my Dad. I had the honor of enjoying her longer then Bob or Dad. I celebrate the life she lived, the example she set and the Christian values she instilled in me. I love you Mom.
