Mia Mia Mia...You once told me that your mother (shortly before she passed) told you to stay friends with me and you did. We were only about 10 years old at the time. I miss your kind energy and your creative breakfast choices (herring and olives) foraged from our family refrigerator. You were a "good egg" and as pure of a soul to ever walk among us.

I knew Mia through our shared years st the Miquon Upper school in the early 1970's, where I was a 'younger student', and like so many others have naught but fond memories of her... I am truly saddened to learn of her passing. I truly miss her happy smiles, sometimes elicit
ed by the antics o myself and John Lucid..!

Every time I go to the gym, my heart stops because I think I see Mia among the women in the aerobics room. Wishing you were still with us my friend...

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mia Solomon. She was one of my favorite instructors at Rosemont College. I will think of her often. Her influence was contagious. She was a vibrant, passionate, intelligent woman and I learned a great deal from her.

I was a housemate of Mia's when she was a graduate student.
I fondly remember her warm, outgoing nature, her quick wit, and love of life. My condolences to her family.

I was greatly saddened to read of Mia's passing in the Gazette. I was one of her housemates senior year and remember her with great fondness. Her happiness and joie de vivre touched all who knew her.

I hadn't seen Mia since undergraduate activist days at Penn, but what a wonderfully smart, funny, iconoclastic, and strongly feminist person I remember. My deep sympathy to the whole family.

Mia was a class act!
Although she taught some
of my favorite courses at Rosemont College, she showed genuine interest AFTER graduation. For your wisdom, empathy, and overall authenticity, I thank you.

How lucky we all were to know Mia - family, friends, students, patients & colleagues - her smart and kind, courageous, funny and caring way a reminder of how we all should be.
My deep condolences and prayers to the family for their loss.

To Mia's family, friends, and colleagues I wish to express my deepest sympathies. Although I haven't seen Mia since high school, I remember her as a deeply thoughtful and thinking person and her contributions to society through her important work must have proved me right and are a tribute to her. She will be sorely missed.
So very sorry,

Mia's memorial service yesterday was a unique tribute to a wonderful woman. The best part was when everyone passed the mike around and reminisced about Mia. So special. Missing you my friend...

Dr. Solomon, or Mia as she insisted I call her, was one of the best professors I ever had. She taught me so much, particularly about family. It's bee nearly 5 years since I saw her, but I think of her and her lessons almost daily. She had a terrific sense of humor, and she made it obvious how much she loved her husband and sons.
We lost her too soon, and she will be missed by so many.

You left us way too soon, but we are all amazed on how hard you tried to defeat cancer; and you won for a good two decades.
Hope you will send your address to Di Bruno Brothers, I am sure they will keep sending you cheeses and goodies you so much loved.
I wished I could have hugged once more.
I will keep an eye on your husband
XO, Claudio

I knew Mia through our shared years at Miquon upper School, and always, *ALWAYS* enjoyed her company! Although I had not seen her in several years, knowing she is gone will make my life a little sadder, surely... I will miss the light of her lovely smile! :'(
