Survivors: wife Christine A. (Egan), parents; Louis and Dolores (Elliott) Saunders. Children; Kara Michelle Saunders, Kasey Lauren Saunders, Michael Louis Saunders, Jr. Liam Andrew Saunders. Grandchildren; Isabella Jane Davis and Steven Georgio Brancato, siblings; Susan (Tom) Hill, Kathleen (Anthony) Cirillo, Timothy (Judith) Saunders & Patricia Saunders. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Our prayers go out to the whole saunders family.Mike was the brother I never had.The other PECO guys called our four man car pool the beer pigs.Most appropriate.When ever we got together,mike would always make a big fuss over my wife cathy and me.And we did the same to him.God bless and rest in peace Michael. To all the Saunders he will be missed dearly, our prayer's go out to all of you. I also played hockey and to see Mike on the ice always scared me. He would come down the ice like a bull in the china shop and the scary thing was I was on his team.

michael, my friend. It pains me deeply that i will not see you again. Growing up in the village and having you as a friend for 50 some years was rewarding for me. So many things we did growing up. I can't put into words how much I am going to miss you. I will always remember SKAGGS, the one guy you could always count on, he would always have your back no matter how difficult it was for him. I will pray for you and your family during this difficult time.

I worked with Mike at DuPont Edge Moor for at least five years. He was a great guy, very hard working, conscientous and could always be counted on for results. He was a good leader and really cared about others. Mike, you will be missed by many.
