Michael A. Williams, 67 Of Trinity, FL , formerly of Havertown, PA Michael A. Williams, 67, passed on September 30, 2012 at the Baldomero Lopez State VA Nursing Home, in Land O'Lakes, FL peacefully in his sleep. He was born September 26, 1945 in Bryn Mawr, PA and lived in Delaware County until retiring to FL in 2004 because of health issues.
He served in Vietnam 1964 to 1967 in the U.S.M.C. and was awarded a Purple Heart plus other medals for his service.
He worked for Lower Merion Police, Lansdowne Police where he was a Police Sgt., taught at Villanova University, and became IT Director at MEE Productions, before being forced into permanent retirement because of his illness in 2002. He also enjoyed many years coaching baseball and wrestling which he loved very much.
Survivors: His wife Donna of 28 1/2 years; son Michael Jr., daughter-in-law Dina, granddaughter Danielle; daughter Jennifer and son Jeffrey (Bo); brother Thomas Williams Jr., sister-in-law, Nancy and their 5 children and their families. Memorial Service on October 14, 2012 at Stretch Funeral Home, 236 Eagle Road, Havertown, PA for family and friends.
Calling 1 to 2 PM and the service will begin at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the ALS Association, Florida Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL 33619-0907 would be appreciated in his memory.
