Mildred Shaw

Mildred (nee Jackson) Shaw, 92 Mildred (nee Jackson) Shaw, 92, died August 20, 2012 in Cleveland, TN. Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Our Lady of Victory Parish, Mildred lived in East Lansdowne for 17 years before moving to Lansdowne. In 1997, she moved to Tennessee. Mildred worked for Clifton Precision, a division of Litton Industries, as an Inspector for 16 years, retiring in 1982. In addition, she represented Sally Harmer Cosmetics for several years. She enjoyed her memberships in both the St. Charles and St. Eugene Seniors Groups. Prior to moving to TN, Mildred was a member of St. Philomena Church for 22 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Richard J. Shaw Sr. who died in 1995. Survivors: Her children Richard J. (Barbara) Shaw Jr. of Cleveland, TN, Lynn (Jim) Hee of N.E. Philadelphia and Mildred D. "Penny" (the late Jack) Massey of Weaverville, NC; granddaughters Jennifer (Anthony) Spezia and Jackie (Tim Healy) Massey; great-grandchilden Anthony 4th, Dominic and Anna Bella Spezia. Memorial Mass Saturday September 29, 2012 10 AM at St. Philomena Church, Baltimore & Highland Aves., Lansdowne, PA 19050. Visitation: Family and friends may visit after 9 AM in the church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Msgr. Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast High School, 401 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill, PA 19026 in Mildred's name would be appreciated.
