Percy Sylvester Jenkins Obituary
Percy Sylvester Jenkins, age 92 Percy Sylvester Jenkins, age 92, of Chester, Pa. surrendered to the will of the Lord on October 8, 2013 at Wallingford Nursing Home. Mr. Jenkins was born in Fernwood, Pa. to the late James Jenkins and Anna Bantom Jenkins and was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. He was a retired custodian having worked for General Electric. He was also retired from Esham Lumber Company where he worked as a truck driver. Mr. Jenkins attended True Fellowship Bible Church in Chester. He served in The United States army during World War II where he received The Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, As-PPC THR Service Medal with 1 bronze Star and The Victory Medal. Widower of Margaret Randolph Jenkins, Mr. Jenkins was also pre-deceased by his special friend Mabel Lowe. Survivors: His wonderful memory will live forever in the hearts of his 2 daughters: Patricia A. Toatley (Gregory, Sr.), and Carolyn Y. Sudler, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 brother-in-law - Joseph Randolph (Docia), many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Service: Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at True Fellowship Bible Church, 614 W. 8th St., Chester. Viewing: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. No viewing after the eulogy. Interment: Mt.
