Regina MacArthur Obituary

Regina M. MacArthur Regina M. MacArthur (nee Meek), 84, of Holmes, PA, loving mother and wife, and devoted servant of God, passed away at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA on July 27, 2013. Regina was born in Ridley Township, PA, the daughter of Agnes (Metz) of Philadelphia and George Meek of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Meek, sisters Agnes Dalton and Marie Meek, beloved husband, Reverend William (Bud) C. MacArthur, daughter Regina R. Kurek, son-in-law, Joseph and grandson, Jeffrey. Survivors: Her son William J. MacArthur of Holmes, PA, his wife Gwen and their children, Michael and Maureen; her son Steven C. MacArthur of Niagara, ND, his wife Laurie, and their children, Doug, Aimee, Jesse, Kirstie, Rachael and Jackie; and her son David R. MacArthur of Newtown Square, PA and his children, Tawny, Taylor, Samantha, Stacey and Haley; plus 3 great grandchildren, Emilie, Graham and Gwyn. Regina graduated from Ridley High School in 1947, received her RN degree from Women's Medical College of PA in 1950 and later in life received her BS from St. Joseph's College in Maine. Regina and Bud served God as medical missionaries in Brazil for 16 years. Upon returning to the US, she worked in geriatric nursing for 23 years and held various director positions with Leader Nursing Center and Manor Care Corporation. Regina's deep and enduring love of God was evidenced in her love of family and service to others. She was a member of Maranatha Tabernacle in Darby, PA for many years and most recently the Blue Church in Springfield, PA. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Regina's life on Wednesday, July 31st, at Knoetgen Funeral Home in Morton, PA. The viewing will be held from 9-11am and the service to follow. Burial: will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers: contributions can be made to the Blue Church in Springfield, PA or Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.

My family knows Regina MacArthur with going too Maran-Athra Tabernacle. Mrs. Regina MacArthur was my Sunday School teacher and she also taught Sunday with my sisters and was good friends with my mom her husband Mr . Bud MacArthur taught my brothers in Sunday School too! Mrs. MacArthur with working at Leaders Nursing Home And going too Church she hired both my sisters too work at Leaders Nursing Home where my second older sister went into that field because Mrs. MacArthur. They are the niced and wonderful faith people who care for there family and others. Too the MacArthur my family is very sorry for your lost of your Love of your Mother.
