I didn't expect this news.
Dick and I shared a drive way on Granite Terrace. We both Graduated from Springfield High.
We did ALOT of wild things together. I could go on for pages and pages and pages but here is not place. I'm stunned to hear this.
Our friend Roland Bergner was also shocked to hear this.

Dear Wayne, Cindy & family
So sorry for your losses. Never got to meet Sandy but know she was a terrific lady, mom & wife. I grew up as a neighbor to the Megonegal's. What a wonderful family to know. Dick & I were close in age & therefore knew many of the same people from SHS & our neighborhood. Dick worked with my husband & introduced us. We've been married for 43 yrs. I can only hope that the prayers & sympathy of family & friends will offer you & Russ the solace you deserve during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Le Calsey Eachus

I will miss them both, Sandy was the foundation to your family and Dick was known as the mayor of Darby creek, and never without his water bottle, he was a pain in the butt most times and me and him always had our difference of opinions, but we were always friends and gang up on who ever dare to pick a side in one of our discussions, cause only we could argue, and we hung out at the marina and in my shop for long long hours, I was deeply saddened by their loss, and will miss them both, I know he has our backs and will keep a watchful eye on us all, Cindy you and the girls meant the world to him, and I heard of everything you guys did and things that made him proud, and he knew in his heart that Brittnay was greatest singer to him, and he shared all that with friends that he card about the most, I won't have anyone to hang out with and keep me in line, but in a strange way I'm glad that they are together, and will continue their love and devotion in eternity, and to put it frankly with out your mom, his cooking was horrible, but I love them all the same, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and I will always be there for you guys for whatever you need as your dad would hav wanted me too! Love you guys!

Cindy and family. I cannot tell you how important your dad was to me. He was the older bother I never had. I know that the loss that I feel must be nothing compared to your own. He was always in my corner and when I look at that corner he will ALWAYS be there.

So many times I read of a spouse who follows shortly after the other. I believe your dad's heart was overwhelmed and broken. 40 yrs together as Husband & wife, says a lot. He missed his bride. I don't know your family, but I know the Lord, he does not make mistakes. In my heart, I believe your parents are smiling together, with my faith, I know they are happier than ever. 2 HEARTS did become one on the day they married. Those 2 hearts still beat as one....always know you are loved. My deepest condolences.
