Richard S. "Rick" Patterson, 69 Richard S. "Rick" Patterson, age 69 of Lansdowne was taken tragically on Sunday January 5th, 2014. Rick was born June 27, 1944. He was the son of the late Dorothy and Samuel Patterson. Rick was a retired Union Carpenter of Local 1050. Rick enjoyed puttering around the house, enjoying his pond, watching Philly sport teams, shooting at the range and socializing with all the neighbors while walking his dog. Survived: by his loving wife of 48 years Barbara (nee Allsman), his devoted children Cindy Leagans (Mike), Sam Patterson (Roxanne) and Stacy Robinson (Chris), his 5 cherished grandchildren and his sisters Barbara Fatszinger (Larry), Joyce Pallos (Steve) and Joan Patterson. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Sun. Evening 4-7:45 P.M. followed by his Words of Remembrance 8 P.M. in the Main Chapel of the D'ANJOLELL MEMORIAL HOME OF BROOMALL, 2811 West Chester Pike Broomall, PA 19008. Interment: Private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory to the Delaware County SPCA 555 Sandy Bank Road Media, PA 19063 or the National MS Society P.O. Though I never knew him, he was a brother of my wife's friend Joan. It is a shame that a great man has to lose his life in such a terrible way.
