Stephen M. McFee Obituary
Stephen M. McFee, 92, Stephen M. McFee, 92, of the Primos section of Upper Darby, died at Crozer Keystone Hospice in Ridley Park. Born in Phila., and raised in Phila and Aldan, he attended Upper Darby HS. He was a resident of Primos, PA for the past 68 years. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was a Sgt, in the European Theater of Operations and was present for the liberation of the concentration camps. Mr. McFee served as the director of the Bureau of Elections of Delaware County for 25 years, before retiring in 1982. He had previously been a steam-fitter at the Baldwin Lima Hamilton Locomotive Works in Eddystone before its' closure. He was a founding and life-member of the Primos-Secane-Westbrook Park Fire Co #5 and was formerly its Chief. Mr. McFee was a member of St Stephen's Episcopal Church in Clifton, where he served on the Vestry for 25 years. A republican committeeman in Upper Darby, he enjoyed wood working and cabinetry. A member of the Masonic organization, he was associated with F & AM Lodge # 744, the Corinthian Chapter of Eastern Star and Amaranth. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Lloyd and grandson Peter Morano. Survivors: include his wife of 71years, Dorothy E. (nee McGrath) McFee; his children, Dorothy (Pete) Morano of Westminster MD, Grace (Stephen) Solomone of Deptford NJ, Ruth Ann McAfee of West Grove and Stephen (Barbara) McFee of Springfield, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren Service: Funeral Service will be private.
