Terence "Terry" Conroy, 63 Of Wayne, PA Terence "Terry" Conroy, 63, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family after a nine month battle with colon and liver cancer. Terry was an English teacher and coach at Valley Forge Military Academy for 28 years. He coached the varsity basketball team at VFMA for 25 years and the varsity baseball team from 1984-1996. A 1966 graduate of St. James High School in Chester, Terry received his B.A. in English and Physical Education from Creighton University. He served in the U.S. Air Force 1967 to 1971. In addition to his time at Valley Forge, Terry's career included teaching in both public and Catholic schools in Omaha, Nebraska. Returning to the Philadelphia area, in 1984, he joined the faculty at Valley Forge Military Academy. Terry was an avid sports fan and shared his wealth of knowledge on all things sports related with his family and friends. He loved to read, loved his dogs, enjoyed traveling and loved to dance, especially to the oldies. But most importantly, Terry loved spending time with his family. Survivors: His wife Ronda E. (nee Wallis); his stepfather Anthony J. Mondello Sr.; his siblings Anthony J. Mondello Jr. (Jane), Linda Ferraro (Thomas) and Tina Ballezzi; his nieces and nephews Christine, Tara, Thomas and Richard; his great-niece Sofia. Pre-deceased by his mother Mary T. Mondello (nee Dougherty) and his great nephew Emmett. Service: Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service Friday, October 19, 2012 2 PM at Valley Forge Military Chapel, 1001 Eagle Road, Wayne, PA. Interment will be private.
