Avery Freeman Obituary
Avery Freeman, 49 Chester Police Officer Avery Freeman, 49, passed into his heavenly home on April 30th at Taylor Rehabilitation Center. He was a life long Chester resident and attended Chester Public Schools in his early childhood. He was a former member of St. Luke CC Church in Chester. He was the son of the late Aaron Freeman and Eustance King. He attended Sunday School and sang on the B. F. Ball children's Choir, an alter boy, and a member of 413 Cub Scouts. He also played Genos little Baseball League. Avery was a graduate from Chester High School in the class of 1980; in 1982 he received a Associate Business Degree from Johnson Wells College where he also received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1984. In 1995 he graduated from the City of Philadelphia Police Academy. He was a Chester Police Officer for approximately 16 years where he received various awards for meritorious service, including Exceptional Service on April 24, 2002, Lifesaving on Mar. 22, 2004, and Valor Award on Nov 25, 2006 . He was also a member of the F.O.P. #19. Avery was an avid fisherman and a member of the Fisherman's Club. He was predeceased by his siblings Lawrence Wick, Little Jim Dale, Aaron V. Freeman and Cecelia Freeman. He leaves behind to morn his precious memories children; Keenon Harris, Miles Freeman, Ryan Freeman, Ania Freeman, his loving, devoted mother Delia Freeman-Bowling,(Robert), siblings; Darrell Freeman (Vanessa), Anthony L. Freeman (Bonnie), Officer Marlowe E. Freeman (Angelina), Evelyn Freeman Perry (Lloyd), Quinntoria Rice, Stella Freeman, Tanya Johnson-Freeman, Regina Spence, Paul Spence, Audrey King, grandmother Florence Naylor, devoted friend Satora Ross and a host of other relatives and friends.
