To Steve and Your Children,
We were so very sorry to hear this sad news. Please be assured of our prayers. Chris was always so helpful during Mikey and Kevin's OLPH years. She welcomed Mikey to many gatherings at your house and cared for him like another son and I will never forget her kindness. God bless you and help you through this.
Love, The Pattersons

Steve, Stephanie, Caitlin, Kevin, and Kelly,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your wife/Mom was truly an inspiration to not only myself, but her entire OLPH family. It will be impossible to walk down the halls of the school or to go into the lunch room and not feel her warm and endearing presence. I will miss her so much, but I know she will always be with us encouraging us to never give up trusting in God.

Love,
Mrs. Terry Light

I never had the privilege of meeting Chris Nilan in person, but by knowing her daughter Caitlin, I'm sure she was an incredible wife, mother, and friend. Her zest for life will be carried on by her beloved family. There can be no greater tribute to a life so well-lived!

Dear Kelly and family:
I had the honor and priveledge of getting to know both Kelly and her wonderful mother, Chris, 3 years ago when the Drexel Hill Players perfomed "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." I was the President of the play group and Producer of the show. Kelly was a true delight and a good actress with lots of star potential even then at what, age 6 or 7? And your Mom was such a breath of fresh air! She volunteered to help with costumes, sets, with back stage tasks the nights of the shows, and with anything we needed or asked. What a loving, giving, tender, compassionate, fun-loving person and devoted Mother! She frequently talked about all your accomplishments in theater, school and cheerleading--and was there another sport in there?? I only knew Chris for about 4 months, but would see her now and then at some local theater performance. She was always positive about all that she had to face--worrying won't help. Almost a "do your best and leave the rest to God" attitude. I am so sorry she is no longer here physically to do all the motherly-things you want and need. But "love never dies," and she will always be with each of you 24/7, in everything you do. You just need to learn how to communicate with her new spirit. My Mother died when I was 24 and I gradually learned how to close my eyes and talk to her--and many times when I ask her, I can feel her hug me. I hope and pray that you all feel your Mom when you need her. And hold on to what faith tells us, that you will be together again! Til then hold on to all the wonderful memories of how she loved you all so deeply--and still does. Mary Anne Saveoz and your friends from the Drexel Hill Players

Dear Steve and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I had no idea Chris was sick. The last time we spoke was when our boys played soccer with Ridley United (Coach Bill). She was always busy running back and forth with the kids to their next event and enjoyed doing it. My prayers go out to all of you and hopefully her memories will help sustain you as you go on with your lives. I'm truly sadened and don't know what else to say. God give you strength. Sincerely, Debbie Gallagher (Sean's Mom).

Dear Steve and Family,

What a gift God is getting with a New Angel named Chris Nilan! Chris had such grace and dignity about her and never complained about herself with all she was going through! I applaud how she handled her Cancer and she lived life the way she wanted to all the way to the day she earned her Angel Wings. God Bless you Christine and your family! OLPH people will look out for Kelly and the rest of your family!
