Deirdre G. "Dee"Chimenti Of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Ridley Park, PA Deirdre Giacoma Chimenti, 61, passed away September 5, 2012 after a long illness. Dee worked at DEXSTA Federal Credit Union in Wilmington since 1981 and was most recently Vice-President, Assessment and Lending and Collection. She was a graduate of Brandywine High School and the University of Delaware. She was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Dee enjoyed the city of Philadelphia and frequently attended the theatre, museums and restaurants around the city. She also loved the beach and spent time each summer and throughout the year in Wildwood, NJ and Rehoboth Beach, DE. Survivors: Her husband Joseph Chimenti of Wilmington; daughter Christina Hepperlen and her husband Mark of Mt. Laurel, NJ; 2 grandsons Mark and Connor Hepperlen also of Mt. Laurel, NJ; brother Fran Giacoma and his wife Beth of Lewes; nephew Michael and his wife Gretchen of Albany, NY; sister Anne Barretta and her husband Frank of Cresskill, NJ; nieces Nicole and Justine Barretta also of Cresskill, N.J. Dee's mother, Madeline C. Giacoma of Wilmington, also survives her. Pre-deceased by her father Nicholas F. Giacoma who passed away in 1987. Visitation will take place 6 to 8 PM on Friday September 7th and 8 to 9 AM Saturday September 8, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, (Route 202, south of Silverside Rd. and with additional, overflow parking available in the rear parking lot of the Brandywine Y.M.C.A., 3 Mt. Lebanon Rd.). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday September 8 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth & DuPont Streets, Wilmington. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
