Edward Cieslak Obituary
Edward Cieslak, 81 Of Bethel Edward Cieslak, 81, died November 4, 2011 at home. Mr. Cieslak was born in Chester to the late Joseph and Adeline Cieslak and was the widower of Barbara Cieslak, his wife of 59 years. He was a union musician and as a young teen played accordion in a band with Bill Haley before he formed the Comets. He operated his own auto garage in Boothwyn from 1955 to 1965 and was a UAW member employed by Boeing, as a machine repair mechanic for 30 years before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Survivors: Sons Edwin J. Cieslak of Bethel, Edward J. Cieslak of Middletown, DE and John M. Cieslak of Aston; daughters Elizabeth A. Sliter of Boothwyn and Genevieve M. Lanning of Linwood, Lower Chichester; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Mass 10 AM Thursday St. Hedwig Church, 4th & Hayes Sts., Chester. Visitation: After 7 PM Wednesday and after 8 AM Thursday at Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer. Burial: Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Linwood, Upper Chichester.
