Eleanor J. Buchanan, 78 A longtime resident of Collingdale Eleanor J. Buchanan, 78, passed away on July 30, 2012 surrounded by her family.Born in Sharon Hill, she was a graduate of Collingdale High School Class of 1952. Eleanor retired as a secretary from Sun Oil where she was active with her their Pollyanna group for over 50 years. She was a member of Collingdale Senior Citizens where she served a secretary for 14 years. She enjoyed traveling to many countries on bus tours and with her friends and bowling.She especially enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews who helped care for her during her illness. Pre-deceased by her parents Albert and Edna Buchanan. Survivors: Loving sister of Evelyn Loftus and Albert "Whitey" (Grace) Buchanan; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Saturday 10 AM at McCausland Garrity Funeral Home, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA. 19036.Viewing Friday 7 to 9 PM and Saturday 9 to 10 AM both are at the funeral home.
