Harry C. "Bear" Beck Jr., 67 of Trainer, PA died sadly on March 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. |
Born to the late Harry C. and Merle M. Beck Sr. in Chester, PA, he was a lifelong Trainer resident.
An electrician by trade, Harry was employed over the years by Sun Ship, Scott Paper and Dupont Chemical. Devoting his life to volunteering, he was a member of the Trainer Fire Company, Lennox Park Fire Co. and Linwood Fire Co. He served as past chief and ambulance director for Trainer borough and was also a former paramedic. He is an honorary member of the Marcus Hook/Trainer Fire Co. and at one time, he served for many years as the Electrical and Building Inspector for the Borough of Trainer.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He loved his dogs and also enjoyed hunting with his friends in Bedford County.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tyrus Beck.
Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Regina T. "Jean" Beck (nee) Taylor, children, Harry J. Beck, Dawn M. (Jose) Martinez and Dennis R. Beck, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday evening, 7-9 PM and Wednesday Morning, 10-11 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA.
Interment and Services: Immediately following at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
